Our Oregon coast retreat in Lincoln City was a relaxing, beautiful and peaceful refuge from the chaos of our world's events of Sept. 11th. Young adults from the west coast came together and shared from their hearts about fear and faith. How both sometimes cross over in our lives and the vital importance of placing complete trust and faith in God. We shared stories to inspire and encourage each other to step out of the boat and share our faith with others. During our free time, we walked on the sun-splashed beach, talking with new acquaintances, often stopping to check out sea creatures on shore, and kites flying in the sky. Sabbath night, we strolled on the beach together, one last time and later were lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean waves. |
